Listed below are the instructions, benefits and prizes for the Contest.

Instructions

1. You can only use the information available in the problem.

2. All problems are expected to be answered using the ISO 9001:2000 standard.

3. The answers, to get full credit, must list the specific clause number of the ISO 9001:2000 standard that applies (i.e. lead me by the hand to the specific words in the standard that apply...I assume nothing!!).

4. You will be E-mailed your pass/fail status after the contest problem is replaced. You can check the posted answer by checking this website. The posted answer will only appear after the new contest problem is posted. A new contest problem will appear every two weeks or sooner if I get the inspiration and enough of you get it right!!

5. You are encouraged to try each and every contest problem...there is no limit to the fun you and I can have!! 

Benefits

1. Great at testing your knowledge of the ISO 9001:2000 standard. You don't have to be an ISO 9000 internal, second or third party auditor to try these contest problems.

2. Supervisors and managers: this is a great way for your associates to get more involved with the ISO 9001:2000 standard and improve their knowledge in a simple yet non threatening way. Those associates that show some interest and ability with these contest problems would be excellent candidates for my 5-day lead auditor or 2-day internal auditor courses.

3. Experienced internal and second party auditors: keep your skills sharp by trying these contest problems. This is especially true for internal auditors who only audit a couple of times a year.

Prizes

1. All contestants that get the contest problem correct will get a certificate of achievement suitable for hanging on the wall in their office or at home (frame not provided). Also, the copy of the contest problem with your correct answer will be sent to you. These certificates will be mailed to you so please provide us with your address. 

2. The first ten contestants to get the problem correct will get a bottle of ISO 9000 "Hot Stuff" hot sauce!! Use this sauce on anything you'd like a cayenne paper taste. Especially great on Pizza!!
